What we do for the ocean

Three program pillars, one goal: healthy oceans, thriving marine life and communities that consume consciously.

Pillar 01

Marine Life Preservation

Our oceans face an unprecedented threat from plastic pollution. Fantastic Oceans is tackling the problem at the source — working to keep plastic out of the water and off our reefs before it can harm the marine life that depends on them.

Through coastal cleanups, research expeditions in the waters of Florida, and partnerships with scientists and conservation organizations, we work to protect the beautiful oceans, marine life and coral reefs that make our blue planet fantastic.

  • Ocean research expeditions in Florida's coastal waters
  • Plastic recovery and recycling initiatives on and off the water
  • Collaboration with scientists, universities and research partners

Pillar 02

Education & Awareness

Change begins with understanding. We bring ocean education to schools, camps and community groups, teaching children ages 9–13 about plastic pollution and how to prevent it — an investment in our future leaders and decision makers.

From classroom presentations with leading scientists to hands-on marine tours along the Florida coast, our education programs give young people a personal connection to the ocean they will inherit.

  • In-school and camp presentations for grades 4–7
  • On-the-water marine environmental tours for kids ages 10–15
  • An online learning portal and virtual tools for participants

Pillar 03

Conscious Consumption

Every piece of plastic in the ocean started with a choice on land. Our two-fold strategy pairs cleanup with prevention: we help consumers, companies and communities understand how everyday decisions ripple out to the sea.

By promoting conscious consumption — reusable alternatives, biobased materials, and responsible habits — we address the global waste-management challenge where it begins.

  • Awareness campaigns on plastic pollution and its prevention
  • Community events promoting reusable and biobased alternatives
  • Corporate partnerships that champion sustainable choices
